Hello, sun in my face. Hello you who made the morning and spread it over the fields…Watch, now, how I start the day in happiness, in kindness. -Mary Oliver

The Creation
Creation | mixed media on canvas – 12″ x 36″ (diptych) – SOLD

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”

Thank you!

What a fun weekend! Thank you for coming by the studio during the Crawl, for engaging with the work, the great conversations, and your ongoing support. It was a blast! Hope you were able to visit many studios, explore many known talent and discover new ones and that you wrapped up the weekend feeling inspired and moved.

A Stretch of Magic

A Stretch of Magic
A Stretch of Magic | mixed media on panel – 11″ x 14″ (diptych)

When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”
